Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 6, 2026
The Guild Hall is where members share progress, screenshots, short clips, and questions, and help each other level up. It works because people treat it like a friendly workshop, not the open internet. These guidelines apply to everything you post: feed posts, comments, questions, replies, images, video, your display name, and your profile. They exist alongside our Terms of Service.
Coding Quests is open to members aged 13 and up, and many of our members are teenagers. Post as if a younger game-dev is reading over your shoulder, because one probably is.
What's welcome
- Screenshots and clips of what you're building
- Questions, bugs you're stuck on, and code you want feedback on
- Wins, milestones, and helpful answers for other members
- Constructive, kind critique when someone asks for it
What's not allowed
Do not post, link to, or upload:
- Sexual or explicit content of any kind, including nudity and pornography
- Anything that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor. This is an absolute rule with zero tolerance (see below)
- Hate speech or slurs, and harassment, bullying, or threats aimed at any person or group
- Graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm
- Illegal content, or instructions for dangerous or illegal activity
- Spam, scams, or advertising, and links to malware or phishing
- Other people's personal information (doxxing), or impersonating someone else
- Content you don't have the rights to share
Protecting younger members
We have zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes or endangers a child. Content that appears to be child sexual abuse material (CSAM) will be removed, the account will be banned, and we will preserve the relevant information and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law. If you see something like this, report it immediately using the Report button, or email info@codingquests.com.
Reporting content
Every post, comment, question, and reply has a Report button (the small flag). If something breaks these guidelines, please flag it and pick a reason. Reports go straight to our moderators, who can remove content and ban the member who posted it. You can also email us at info@codingquests.com. We review reports as quickly as we reasonably can.
How we enforce this
We use a mix of automated filtering and human review. Depending on the severity, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend the ability to post, or permanently ban an account, with or without notice. For serious or illegal content we may act immediately and involve the authorities. These are the tools described in Section 7 of our Terms.
Questions
If you're unsure whether something is okay to post, it probably belongs in a question rather than the feed, or just ask us at info@codingquests.com. Thanks for helping keep the Guild Hall a good place to learn.
