  • You can code a little, but Godot's nodes, signals, and resources still feel fuzzy.

Omar, the creator of Coding Quests

“I wasted years in tutorial hell, following along then freezing on a blank scene. So I built the guide I wish I'd had: write real GDScript, get it checked, and walk away with a whole game you actually understand.”

Inside the Guild Hall

The members' hall the membership is named after. Here is exactly what happens in there, so you know what you're joining.

Feed

Post screenshots and short clips of what you're building. Members and Omar comment and react.

Q&A board

Stuck on a lesson or your own project? Ask there. Other members can answer, and Omar reads every question.

Roadmap

Vote on which quest ships next. The 2D Roguelike campaign came from these votes.

Showcase

Submit your finished builds. Leaving thoughtful feedback on someone's build earns mentor XP.

What "creator feedback" means here

  • Omar (the creator, and the only person behind CodingQuests) personally reads the feed, Q&A, and showcase submissions, and replies himself.
  • Replies usually land within a day or two. It is a one-person team, so feedback is real but not instant, and not a guaranteed line-by-line code review.
  • There are no live calls or office hours today. If that changes it will be announced on the roadmap first.

The community is small and early on purpose - posts get read, not buried. Community guidelines · Browse the public Showcase

Before you start

Do I pay anything today?

No. Your 7-day free trial starts at checkout, and you are not charged until it ends. Cancel anytime before then and you pay nothing.

Is a card required to start the trial?

Yes. Checkout asks for a card, you are charged $0 today, and the first charge of $25 (monthly) or $200 (yearly) happens on day 8 unless you cancel before then. Cancelling takes a couple of clicks from Manage billing.

Which Godot version does this use?

All quests are built for Godot 4 (current 4.x releases). Lessons, checks, and every downloadable project file target Godot 4, so what you learn matches the editor you open.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep every project file you downloaded, and your XP and quest log stay on your account. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, then you lose access to the full campaigns and new quests going forward.

Do I keep the project files?

Yes. Every Godot project file you download is yours to keep forever, even after you cancel.

Is this beginner-friendly?

Yes. Start with the free quests that teach GDScript from your very first line of code, then campaigns build up one system at a time. No prior experience needed.

How is this different from watching a YouTube tutorial?

You write the code yourself and it gets checked instantly, so you actually understand it instead of copying along and freezing on a blank project. You finish complete, real systems, not disconnected clips.

Can I start with free quests first?

Absolutely. Create a free account, play the free quests and the first lessons of every campaign, and upgrade whenever you are ready.

Billing handled securely by Stripe. Cancel anytime; your XP and quest log stay with you.
